A 2024 Indiana Nitro Alum and University of Notre Dame commit, right-handed pitcher Cameron Sullivan was drafted out of high school in the 7th round of the 2024 MLB Draft by the Cleveland Guardians. 

Sullivan was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School in Fortville, Indiana, the same school that produced Indiana Nitro professional Hunter Dobbins. In two dominant varsity seasons for Mt. Vernon, Sullivan posted a 9-1 record with a 1.17 earned run average. He struck out 143 batters in 78 innings of work while giving up just 46 hits and 13 earned runs. Hitters struggled to produce against Sullivan, as opposing hitters batted just .160 against Sullivan’s elite pitching. Along with his mid 90’s fastball during his senior year at Mt. Vernon, Sullivan registered 65 strikeouts in 37.1 innings pitched. He gave up just 23 hits and had a 3-1 record with a 0.75 earned run average. Sullivan becomes the first Indiana Nitro alum and member of the Nitro Gas Club to forgo his college eligibility to pursue his professional career. Congratulations, Cameron!
