Nitro 2025 MIF Joe Washburn Commits to Creighton

Indiana Nitro class of 2025 member Joe Washburn becomes the first Nitro player in his class to commit to playing baseball at the collegiate level. Washburn, the son of Tom and Gayle Washburn, is a current senior at South Bend St. Joseph High School in South Bend, Indiana. He has committed to Creighton University, a Division 1 institution and member of the Big East Conference. Along with Washburn’s elite middle infield play, he also excels in the classroom posting an impressive 4.3 GPA. His intended college major is currently undecided.
