Ethan Lund, a left handed pitcher from our Nitro 2024 Gold squad has committed to Purdue! The 6’4” 195# projectable lefty garnered attention from several Power 5 Division 1 schools this past spring and summer, and is our first commit from our highly touted 2024 class. The power pitcher has spent a lot of time training and lifting to increase his velocity, eventually topping out at 88 mph this past summer. He looks to obtain membership status in our exclusive Nitro Gas Club, (90+ mph) and cites “that is one of my goals this offseason.” Lund had several opportunities to play at the next level, but Purdue won his services. “He’s a projectable left handed pitcher that showed good improvement over the duration of the summer,” said Purdue Pitching Coach Chris Marx. Lund, a junior at Hamilton Southeastern High School, is planning to major in the Math / Science fields. He sports a 4.08 GPA, and is the son of Bob and Donna Lund, who reside in Fishers.
