Head Coach's info

Matt Poisel

Coach Matt Poisel is beginning his first season with Indiana Nitro, but his 13th year of coaching high school baseball. He is the head JV coach at Fishers High School where he has recorded 111 wins over the last 8 seasons after serving as the head freshmen coach for 3 years. He is new to the Nitro family but has coached youth travel baseball for the last several years. After high school, Coach Poisel was a licensed IHSAA umpire for 8 years before coaching and was fortunate enough to earn 3 sectional assignments, including one with his father. Coach Poisel is a math teacher at Fishers High School. He and his wife, Angie, live in Fishers with their three children, Eli, Abby, and Elliott.
