Evan Doan
Evan Doan attended Frankton Jr. Sr. High School where he played varsity baseball all four years. His sophomore and senior year seasons he posted ERA’s of 1.33 and 1.47. He also won two sectional championships in those years as well. After graduating high school, Doan went on to play at St. Fracis, an NAIA school in Joliet, Illinois. During his time there, as a freshman he appeared in 15 games, pitching a total of 41 innings, compiling an impressive 4-1 record. His first college start was against the #2 ranked NAIA team and he threw 6 innings and got his first collegiate win. While in Illinois, Doan volunteered for a program called the Miracle League where they helped kids with all types of disabilities play baseball.
He then transferred closer to home to play at Anderson University where he finished his playing career. His junior year was his best, where he earned 1st team All Conference, pitching 51 innings and posting a 3.33 ERA. Doan received his bachelor’s degree in Sports and Recreational Management and is currently working on getting his Masters in Business Administration. Doan has coached with the Indiana Bulls and is currently the Grad Assistant and one of two pitching coaches at Anderson University. He has also worked at Grand Park the past 6 summers. Doan is single and currently lives in the Frankton, IN area.
