Nitro 2025 Matthew Poyer commits to Lincoln Land Community College

By Michael Adkins

Matthew Poyer adds to the momentum of our 2025 class as he has chosen to pursue his academic and baseball careers after the completion of high school. Poyer is a right-handed pitcher that committed to Lincoln Land Community College, NJCAA institution in Springfield, Illinois that competes in the Mid-West Athletic Conference. Poyer, the son of Kyle and Laura Poyer, is a right-handed pitcher gearing up for his senior season at Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, IN. Poyer was productive in his Junior season for the Royals, as opposing teams compiled a mere .158 overall batting average against him when he was on the mound. Cory Seitz and the Royals will look to use Poyer frequently this year and we are excited to watch him have a successful senior season before he heads off to college. Once Poyer enrolls at Lincoln Land Community College, he will pursue a degree in Construction Management while also contributing to their pitching staff. Congratulations, Matt!
