Jude Coursey of Crawfordsville High School officially announces that he will be furthering his academic and baseball careers in college! Coursey will be continuing his play after high school at Olivet Nazarene University, an NAIA institution and member of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference in Bourbonnais, Illinois. Coursey was very productive at the plate last season at Crawfordsville. As a Junior, Coursey finished the year with a .360 batting average, notching 40 hits and 20 RBI’s. When called upon to pitch, Coursey was effective as well. In 24.2 innings of work, Coursey struck out 35 batters and opposing hitters only produced a .202 batting average against him. With numbers like these, look for Coursey to make a major leap this coming spring as he will be one of the top players in the conference. Coursey, the son of Tom and Traci Coursey, intends to major in Psychology at Olivet Nazarene University while also competing for a middle-infield spot on the baseball team. Coursey’s stellar 3.92 cumulative GPA proves that he will compete not only on the diamond in college, but in the classroom as well. We are excited to see the many years of success coming Coursey’s way!
